Olivia Newton-John’s husband John Easterling says the pop superstar and cancer treatment advocate will shine down on her annual ONJ Wellness Walk in October.

“The wellness walk and wellness programs meant so much to Olivia. She really looked forward to it each year,” Mr Easterling said.

“At Olivia’s deepest essence, she was a healer using her mediums of song, words, and touch. She continues to inspire each of us to be our best. We look forward to honouring her legacy and walking for Olivia, the way she always walked for us.”

Olivia’s Walk For Wellness will take place at the Alexandra Gardens on October 9, to raise money for programs, treatments and equipment at the ONJ Centre.

Sadly, Olivia Newton-John died from cancer on August 8.

Tottie Goldsmith, Newton-John’s niece and ONJ Wellness Walk ambassador, said she wants to do Olivia proud with the 2022 event.

“I want to be part of keeping her legacy alive, and keep doing the work she was so passionate about,” Goldsmith said.

“I want to keep the positivity, which is really hard at this time, but love and light is what she was all about. She brought love and light to people with cancer.

“It’s going to feel strange without Liv being here, but we can’t change that, so we need to make the most of this (walk). I know she’ll be there. She will be up there beaming down on all of us. And I just I want to do her proud. We all do.”

Easterling, and Olivia’s daughter Chloe will not attend the Melbourne event.

However, Olivia’s brother, Toby Newton-John, Tottie Goldsmith and her siblings will line up at Alexandra Gardens.

Tickets to the walk are $65 for adults, $50 concession, $25 for kids aged 3 to 17, and a $20 ticket for dogs.

Supporters are also encouraged to register and walk virtually.
