Myer gives a sneak peek at its Christmas Windows
The annual Myer Christmas Windows will this year bring to life the work of a beloved Australian author and the Herald Sun has been given an early preview of the display.

Two national icons are coming together to create a festive fairytale this Christmas.
Now in its 64th year, the annual Myer Christmas Windows will this year bring to life the work of a beloved Australian author.
The name and theme will be revealed to Melburnians outside the retailer’s flagship Bourke St store on Sunday from 11am.
The department store gave the Herald Sun a sneak peek of this year’s display, which more than 40 artisans have been creating for over 12 months.
Myer’s chief customer officer Geoff Ikin said more than 1.2 million people were expected to view the department store’s historic windows this festive season.

“Myer’s iconic Christmas windows are loved by the Australian community, with generations of parents and children making the annual trip into the city to experience the excitement, wonder and joy that they bring,” he said.
Lauren Phillips will host tomorrow’s reveal event with special performances by the Australian Ballet School and the Melbourne Gospel Choir adding to the festivities.
The Myer Christmas Windows can be viewed until Sunday, January 5.
