Congestion has started to clear across Melbourne’s train network after an earlier police request.
An incident near Flinders Street Station had caused 40 to 50 minute delays.
A bridge above a major roadway was involved in the police incident.
No trains were running through the city loop, with services being redirected to trams.

Trains were only running directly in and out of Flinders Street and Southern Cross Station.
