After a warm Friday with temperatures reaching 30.2C, conditions took a dramatic turn on Saturday with Melbourne receiving 10mm of rain by 5pm, signalling a wet week ahead.
The SES had 197 call outs between midnight and 5pm on Saturday, 80 relating to fallen trees and 63 due to building damage.
While the rain eased on Saturday night, the Bureau of Meteorology has warned Melburnians to expect continuous wet weather over the coming days, with showers and thunderstorms expected to roll in overnight on Monday and into Tuesday.

Temperatures are forecast to remain in the high to mid-20s, bringing a humid start to the week.
Severe thunderstorms are forecast for the Central, South West, North Central, Wimmera and Northern Country on Sunday, while the Mallee is expected to also cop “large hail”.
Significant downpours are anticipated before conditions ease on Wednesday with temperatures returning to the mid-20s and rising to the low 30s on Thursday.
