Melbourne metal rocker tests positive to coronavirus, days after meeting hundreds of fans
Days after interacting with fans at meet and greet sessions all over the country, a member of Melbourne metal band Ocean Grove has tested positive for coronavirus.

A member of Melbourne metal band Ocean Grove has tested positive for coronavirus days after meet and greet sessions with hundreds of fans.
The band’s record label have not named the member, but have stated that the band met fans in Melbourne on March 13, Sydney on March 14 and Brisbane on March 15 and signed copies of their new album Flip Phone Fantasy.
Videos on the band’s Facebook page show them hugging fans and posing for photos during their Melbourne meet and greet.
“If you attended one of these events, please follow the Australian Government’s advice to self-isolate for two weeks to prevent the spread of the virus to other people. In the event you start to experience symptoms associated with COVID-19, please seek medical attention,” UNFD stated.
The label said the band member tested positive today and is in “good spirits” while being treated.
“After what was first interpreted as a common headache, he began experiencing other symptoms associated with the virus on Monday, March 16 upon which he was tested.”
The band, who formed in 2010, feature Dale Tanner, Twiggy Hunter, Matt Henley and Sam Bassal.
Their previous album, The Rhapsody Tales, made No. 5 in 2017.
