BOYS at an exclusive Melbourne private school have rated their school formal dates in a degrading video that has left girls humiliated and upset.
A group of Melbourne Grammar Year 12 students are also filmed doing a ‘Tinder boot camp’ on the school oval hunting for formal partners, with orders from classmates not to pick unattractive females.
The video, posted to Facebook, has emerged just weeks after two boys were booted out of Brighton Grammar and cautioned by police for setting up an Instagram page to vote for the “Slut of 2016”.
A parent provided the MGS video to the Herald Sun, after their daughter was given a score before attending the event.

Boys were interviewed by classmates about who they planned to take to last term’s formal and asked to rate them, with responses varying from as low as 1 and even ¾ of one, to five and 10 out of 10.
“My daughter attended the school formal and was rated by the boys, needless to say the outcome was very sad for us,” said the unnamed parent in a letter.
“These boys are apparently school leaders, what is happening to the future generations and where are the role models within the schools.”
Melbourne Grammar headmaster Roy Kelley said he was made aware of the student-made video yesterday, which was produced independently and posted on a closed Facebook page.
“This video contains references that I consider to be totally inconsistent with the values and standards of this School, its students and our community,” he said in a statement.
“It includes comments that would cause hurt and offence. This is unacceptable.”
He said he had personally expressed his “deep disappointment” to the students involved and demanded the video be removed.
“Melbourne Grammar School takes very seriously its responsibility to instil positive values in all our students, particularly in relation to the respect of others,” Mr Kelley said.
The video is in parts fun and playful, with students asked their advice for the night and what they were looking forward to.
Some looked uncomfortable when asked to give their date a rating.
But one student was asked if the date he was taking was the same girl that two other males previously “went through”, to which he replied “third time lucky”.
Another made vulgar sexual comments when asked his best pick-up line.
The video starts off with a tongue-in-cheek Tinder boot camp, with up to 50 students using the dating app on their phones.
“This is Grammar, boys — that means nothing, and I mean nothing, under a 7,” demands one of the students in a mock drill sergeant voice.
Both cases have been condemned by Our Watch, which has developed respectful relationships programs for schools, with CEO Mary Berry saying “objectifying women is no joke”.
She said a “culture of disrespect towards women” must end.
“We must help our young people reject disrespectful behaviour and discrimination,” she said.
“It’s up to us as parents, teachers, leaders and decision makers to ensure our children have access to respectful relationships education to teach young people that this kind of objectification is not on.”
