A DEADLY tiger snake made itself at home in a CBD apartment block car park, before being discovered by a maintenance worker who thought it was harmless.
The snake was hiding under wheelie bins at the Swanston St garage, when the worker discovered it and mistook it for a common python.

Luckily, he thought twice about picking up the slippery surprise, and called in the experts.
The venomous snakes have been spotted in Elwood, Port Melbourne, Toorak, Brunswick and Abbotsford in recent months.
