Magnitude 2.6 earthquake felt on Mornington Peninsula
Residents on the Mornington Peninsula felt the earth move this morning, after a quake struck just before lunchtime.

A magnitude 2.6 earthquake has struck off the Mornington Peninsula.
The quake could be felt about 11.45am, with the epicentre on Port Phillip Bay.
There have been 15 reports from people who felt the quake around the Seaford, Frankston, Mornington and Bonbeach area.

Geoscience Australia said the quake occurred at a depth of 10km.
The State Emergency Service said there were no reports of damage.
