CHANNEL 9 presenter Lauren Phillips has married her long-time love Lachlan Spark in a fairytale wedding.
The adored couple tied the knot at a private property in Flinders which featured a first of its kind seven and a half-metre high glass marquee inspired by the nuptials of Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge.
After five years together the newlyweds exchanged vows before 180 guests including Phillips’ Kids WB co-host Shane Crawford and his partner Olivia Anderson, Rebecca and Chris Judd, Emma and Tom Hawkins, Kris Smith, Jonathan and Kylie Brown, Corbin Harris, Michael Wipfli and Channel 9 reporters Tom Steinfort, who was best man, and Clint Stanaway who was MC.
Phillips looked stunning in a dress by designer Con Ilio, who custom made her two gowns for the ceremony and the night. He also made the dresses of all six bridesmaids who were Phillips’ close friends.
Spark, a former television producer who runs his own creative agency, had four groomsmen including comedian Tommy Little.
“I am so excited to have finally married Lachie, we are both so thrilled that we can celebrate this day with our favourite people in the world,” Phillips, 30, said.
“We haven’t wiped the smiles off our faces all day.”
Harry the Hirer and The Melbourne Planner worked together on the stunning wedding, with the eye-catching re-hireable marquee, called The Atrium, taking a week to come to life.
“We started the manufacturing process in August and did the design back in March last year after seeing a greenhouse in South Africa,’’ said Sam Jamieson from Harry The Hirer.
“It’s the first in the world and has already been booked for VAMFF and another wedding in Sydney.”
Myer ambassador Phillips met Spark in 2012 after her split from footy superstar Gary Ablett Jr. The couple, who got engaged in February last year, have yet to plan a honeymoon.
