Long delays outbound on the West Gate Freeway after truck blaze
All lanes have re-opened outbound on the West Gate Freeway following massive peak-hour delays after a truck fire earlier today.

All lanes have re-opened outbound on the West Gate Freeway following massive peak-hour delays after a truck fire earlier today.
Emergency services were called to the scene about 5pm.
Two lanes were closed on the West Gate Freeway outbound near Williamstown Road.
MFB crews extinguished the blaze and inspected the vehicle.

Transurban’s incident management crews also attended and were assisting with traffic management.
Traffic is queued back through the Domain Tunnel to Yarra Boulevard and may take some time to clear.
VicRoads urged drivers to expect delays and to use Geelong Road through Footscray as an alternative.
Drivers were told they could avoid the gridlock by getting onto the freeway from Millers Road.
