Kaushaliya Vaghela targeted with changes to her Wikipedia page

There’s still plenty of bad blood between Kaushaliya Vaghela and the Labor Party if some unhelpful additions to her Wikipedia page are any guide.

Kaushaliya Vaghela appears on 7.30 ABC

Just weeks after unveiling details of bullying allegations from the premier’s Socialist Left faction, Kaushaliya Vaghela seems to be bearing the brunt of a cyber pot shot.

Eagle-eyed web watchers noticed a swath of new additions to Vaghela’s Wikipedia page.

The bulk of these helpful additions were in a newly-created “controversies” category.

While some of these claims referenced legitimate topics raised at IBAC, others were bizarre references to her husband’s previous career and allegations of false claims in her opening speech.

The most interesting part of all is that these changes were introduced by a user with a name eerily similar to a major player in the SL faction.

Perhaps it’s someone hiding behind a fake name but it’s clear there’s still plenty of bad blood about. Watch this space.

ARE TWO MORE MPS TAKING A BOW?

Rumours are swirling again that two more senior ministers are set to bow out of politics at the November election.

Baz has long written about rumours around Treasurer Tim Pallas. They’ve been strongly denied.

Now he adds Police Minister Lisa Neville to the list.

It could of course just be scuttlebutt, but the rumours are getting louder and spreading wider (and coming from very well-placed sources) that both will quit Spring St.

Baz reckons it makes sense.

If Labor wins the election, Pallas, an MP since 2006, would have the job of helping Victoria crawl out of record debt levels. And Neville, first elected in 2002, has battled serious illness in recent years.

Could be time for a well-earned rest for both.

PEARSON IS COOKED

Assistant Treasurer Danny Pearson had quite a week, what with the drama around the government’s controversial social housing tax Bill.

The controversial plan would slug homeowners potentially tens of thousands of dollars then funnel the cash into social housing.

The tax is expected to bring in about $800m a year, but the property and building industries have warned it could add almost $20,000 to the cost of a typical house.

When he marched into parliament with a microwave on Thursday, it seemed pretty clear the Bill was cooked.

Will be interesting to see what he serves up this week.

NO SAUSAGE SIZZLE FOR MAY

As always, when Baz gets it wrong, he’s the first to admit it.

It was written in this column last week that visiting former UK PM Theresa May had visited the home of a federal minister for a good old fashioned Aussie BBQ.

Hard as it is to admit, that was wrong. Sources have confirmed the good lady did indeed visit Greg Hunt’s Mornington Peninsula home, but only for a quick coffee.

And it now makes sense, given Lady May’s packed itinerary last weekend.

Baz has confirmed sightings at Healesville and up-market winery Levantine Hill in the Yarra Valley. Early churchgoers at the 8am service at St Paul’s, opposite Flinders St, also would have seen the former PM keeping the Sabbath, and diners at the ritzy Stokehouse may have spotted her dining there, too.

Amid speaking engagements and a series of talks with federal ministers, including Prime Minister Scott Morrison, the former PM also visited the MCG and the Shrine during her whirlwind first trip to Melbourne.

And Baz is assured she loved it. It’s Melbourne, what’s not to love?

BEATING HIS OWN DRUM

Liberal Democrats MP, and Senate hopeful, David Limbrick always marches to the beat of his own drum.

At the party’s recent federal campaign launch the former death metal drummer got behind the kit again, entertaining the 400-strong crowd.

Baz reckons it would be great to see an MP all-star band.

Supreme Court judge, and fellow drummer, Lex Lasry played in the Lex Pistols with fellow jurists.

What then of a parliamentary band, the Limsticks? Lame. Baz invites suggestions.

Seeing Limbrick behind the kit reminded Baz of his formal request to rename the state’s “Mordialloc Freeway” to the “Mordialloc TISM Freeway” – after the cult seven-piece alternative rock band (whose name stands for This is Serious Mum).

Permission denied.

BUYING A SEAT IN PARLIAMENT

There are plenty of aspiring politicians who’d sell their right leg to buy a seat in parliament.

So Baz wonders who forked out $200 for this antique swivel chair this week, purportedly a relic from the Victorian Parliament’s Speaker’s office.

At least that was how it was listed on an internet marketplace.

Inquiries by Baz turned up no evidence; anything goes online. It’s certainly no Trading Post!

The sale came almost a year to the day since Baz wrote about an early 1900s parliamentary couch that was being flogged as “a substantial three to four-seater members’ couch from the Victorian Parliament Legislative Assembly chamber.

Made of blackwood, cedar with leatherette upholstery … a piece of Victorian history.”

Too right. And to think it was being given away for free.

Baz is sorry he didn’t see in sooner. It would have worked quite nicely in the press gallery.

GUESS WHO

Which female MP was this week spotted hooning around Spring St on a motorbike?
