Jodus Murphy: Mystery surrounding death of teen discovered dead by river

Detectives have been unable to piece together the final moments of a Frankston teen who was discovered dead near the Goulburn River last month.

Police are appealing for information to help them piece together a Frankston man’s final moments.

Mystery surrounds the final moments of a teen who was discovered dead after he went missing for more than a month.

Detectives are trying to piece together the movements of 18-year-old Jodus Murphy, who vanished from Frankston on May 12 before making his way to Seymour.

A funeral was held for Jodus Murphy on June 30. Picture: Facebook.

He was found dead beside the Goulburn River just over a month later on June 14.

Mr Murphy’s death is not believed to be suspicious, but a Victoria Police spokesperson said investigators wanted to speak with anyone who may have seen him in the lead-up to his death.
