SLEEK and sexy silhouettes were showcased alongside floaty fashions at the Myer spring-summer collections launch in Sydney on Thursday night.
Jennifer Hawkins rocked the catwalk in her own Cozi swimwear, figure-flattering dresses from new-to-Myer designers Alex Perry and By Johnny, and international luxury label Balmain.
Under a canopy of gigantic silver palm fronds that swayed rhythmically above the 40m catwalk, 60 models showcased more than 270 new-season looks by Myer’s stable of leading Australian and international designers.

“My favourite dress is the Balmain encrusted dress, with its split up to my hip,” Hawkins said.
She was joined by fellow Myer faces Kris Smith and Kate Peck, as well as internationally successful Australian supermodel Nicole Trunfio, walking exclusively for Gail Elliott’s label Little Joe Woman.
“Gail and I met on the set of The Face and we became friends. I was really excited for her when she signed the contract with Myer,” Trunfio said.
Key looks on show for the new season included clean and crisp combinations of white on white, pretty sorbet shades of lilac, mint and pink, as well as tropical inspired, geometric and animal prints.
Silhouettes were longer and sleeker on labels including By Johnny, Arthur Galan and Yeojin Bae, while Alex Perry’s fresh and contemporary take on the dress is sure to be a winner for the races and party season.
Softer, feminine silhouettes by Morrison, Aurelio Costarella and Little Joe Woman will become wardrobe staples this summer. And Toni Maticevski’s collection of masterfully crafted dresses, skirts and jackets in white, black and fluorescent orange are works of art to be treasured well beyond the new season.
Textures will play a key role for spring-summer featuring lace, sheer fabrics, silks, and plenty of beads.
The red carpet was awash with a plethora of hot Australian celebrities keen to catch a glimpse of the department store’s spring summer offerings.
