Hunt for Matthew Curic after he fled from police custody
Matthew Curic bashed a cop before fleeing custody in Seymour this afternoon. The public has been warned not to approach him and instead call triple-0 if he is sighted.

An accused cop basher has escaped custody in the state’s north.
Matthew Curic, 33, was remanded over an assault-related offence at Seymour Magistrates’ Court before being transferred to Seymour police station about 2.45pm today.
Police allege he escaped custody after attacking a male police officer.
Curic is yet to be located and a police hunt is underway.
