Higgins family all set for starting line at Run for the Kids
North Melbourne vice-captain Shaun Higgins and his wife Heidi are ready to strap on their running shoes and hit the road for the Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids.

Shaun and Heidi Higgins, along with 22-month-old daughter Rosie, are match-fit and ready join the Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids at the end of the month.
The North Melbourne vice-captain said he and wife Heidi were thrilled to get behind such a great cause.
“We’re rapt to be involved, we’ve had a fair bit to do with the Royal Children’s Hospital over many years and it’s an amazing facility, they look after so many kids,” he said.
“Having a little one of our own, we realise the importance of having that on our doorstep in Melbourne.”
The couple hope this will be Rosie’s first time participating in the fundraiser for the Good Friday Appeal, and will keep her company as she enjoys the route in her pram.
“Whether you’re walking, doing a short run or a long run, it gives everyone in the family the opportunity to get out. There’s an activity for everyone,” Mrs Higgins said.
Victorian entrants can also go in the draw to win a Mazda 3, donated by Mazda — a long-term major supporter of the event.
“We’re immensely proud to contribute to such a fantastic event, which has helped raise more than $18.6 million for the Good Friday Appeal,” said Mazda Australia managing director Vinesh Bhindi. The winner will be announced in the Run For The Kids village on the big day, March 29, giving Victorians another reason to line up.
