Grampians region has best tasting tap water in Victoria
ONE lucky community has the best tasting tap water in the state, after judges rated it top dog in a blind taste test.

A FARMING community in Victoria’s south west has the best tasting tap water in the state.
Wannon Water won the title in the Ixon Best Tasting Tap Water in Victoria competition, announced in Bendigo earlier this week.
Judges found the water sample — collected from the Grampians water treatment plant — had the best qualities when it came to colour, clarity, odour and mouthfeel during blind taste tests.

The catchment provides water to Hamilton in southwest Victoria and surrounds.
Wannon Water will represent Victoria in the national competition by Water Industry Operators Association of Australia.
Wannon’s water will go head to head with last year’s winner Toowoomba, Queensland during National Water week in October.
The winner of the national competition will represent Australia at the annual Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Competition held in West Virginia, USA.
