Robinson’s haul sets a new league record for the most goals in a game, previously held by Greta’s Brad Bell.
Official records had Bell kicking 22 goals against Glenrowan in 2012.
Robinson, who is based in Wangaratta, said his previous best was about 13 goals.
He kicked 81 goals last year, but had managed just 19 goals for the season before Saturday.
Robinson said the two sides started with 16 on the field, but dropped to 15 when one of the Bonnie Doon players was injured.
“I know it looks good on paper but it was pretty open the game … they were a bit short,” he said.
“We’ve been a bit short (this year) so I have gone into the midfield a bit,” Robinson said.
“I haven’t been able to play forward as much.
“But I was down forward (on Saturday) and have been forward the last couple of weeks.”
Glenrowan, the four-time reigning premier, is fourth on the ladder.
It will face Greta in the final round on Saturday before preparing for an elimination final.
“We’re going all right, we’ll have another crack at it this year,” Robinson said.
Fred Fanning’s 18-goal one-game haul in 1947 still stands as the AFL record.
The next Victorian country football league player behind Robinson and Brad Bell is Hayden Kelly, with 20 goals for Maldon in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football League.
