Sale became the epicentre of a 3.3 magnitude earthquake on Thursday night.
A warning issued by VICSES said the tremor was recorded about 5.55pm across the Gippsland area, with residents reporting to Geoscience Australia that they had felt the earthquake.
No reports of damage or calls for help were reported by SES after the quake.

Eight ‘felt reports’, confirmation reports on Geoscience Australia’s website from people that they had felt the earthquake, had been recorded as of 7pm.

Belinda Howe wrote following the trauma: “Was wondering why my toilet water was wobbling”.
Local resident Jennifer Gray said: “How far has it been felt? My dogs went nuts around that time and were (sic) in 3825”.
Stacy Holden said she “felt the house shudder”.
Mel James said she felt the tremor in Yanackie, about 150km south west of Sale.
The VICSES warning remains in place for Gippsland residents.
