A FORMER Labor adviser is to be the new head of state lobby group, the Property Council.
Cressida Wall will fill the executive director role vacated by Lord Mayor Sally Capp.
A lawyer, Ms Wall spent five years as an economic adviser to the Bracks and Brumby governments, and is on the board of Office of Projects Victoria.

She also has experience in public policy, corporate affairs, infrastructure, private equity, property and technology start-ups.
Ms Wall, who starts on September 12, said that property policy was about people’s lives.
“From the moment kids first move out of home to the building of large-scale commercial properties, the industry shapes our lives and our economy,” she said.
“Melbourne is Australia’s fastest growing city and it’s never been more important to ensure the policies shaping Victoria are the right ones.”
Property Council of Australia chief Ken Morrison said: “Cressida has the public policy expertise, the breadth of experience and the passion to represent an industry that is so important for Victorians.”
State Property Council deputy executive director Matt Kandelaars has been acting in the top role since Ms Capp stepped aside from the organisation to contest the lord mayoral by-election.
She resigned on being elected to Town Hall.
