An emotional farewell has been held following the killing of Morwell teenager Nick Henry.
The 19-year-old, allegedly stabbed to death last month, was described as someone who was no saint but loved by those who knew him.
As Mr Henry’s coffin, emblazoned with motorcycle images sat nearby, his mother Karen told of how he and his siblings were her pride and joy.
She said her son was blessed with a cheeky smile and had always told her to be strong.
“I’m gonna miss you mate. Love you so much,” Karen said.
“It was never a dull moment with Nick. He always had the brightest smile. I love you dearly.”
His aunty Margaret said Mr Henry was always cheerful no matter what he was going through.
“He could always squeeze out that smile,” she said.
“I love you so much, Nick.”
A number of other people from the congregation at Latrobe Valley Funeral Services were invited to speak and gave emotional addresses.
There was also anger at what had happened to Mr Henry and those who had caused his death.
He was attacked in Buckley St, Morwell, and died soon after in hospital.
Three men — brothers Brayden Smart, 20, and Corey Smart, 23 and 19-year-old Abraham Abas — were arrested and charged with the killing.
Mr Abas is believed to have been a former friend and close neighbour of Mr Henry.
