The Disney juggernaut is about to hit Melbourne, with fans able to get in early on the action.
Tickets for Disney on Ice’s spectacular 100 Years of Wonder show at Melbourne Rod Laver Arena go on pre-sale on March 23.
The show runs from June 28 to July 12 and is set to feature Disney favourites Mickey Mouse, Moana, Belle, Olaf and Elsa, Woody and his Toy Story friends, among others.
The length of the performance will vary in time between an hour-and-a-half and two hours, and include a 15 to 20 minute interval.
But fans don’t have to wait until winter to share in the wonder of Disney, here in Victoria.
A Disney pop-up shop has already opened at Westfield Fountain Gate, with more set to open up at other shopping centres later this year.
A pop-up shop is planned for Westfield Southland from May 20 to July 10 and Westfield Doncaster from August 1 to September 22.
According to Westfield, the limited-time and exclusive retail experience is being created for customers and Disney fans, to celebrate Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder.
The Disney Store pop-ups promise to deliver an exciting range of products like Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars collectibles, Disney Store Japan ranges, plus a selection of accessories for all ages, including homewares, dolls, plus and apparel for children and adults.
Every Disney store will offer new product releases every few weeks.
WHY THE CULT OF DISNEY IS ONLY LIKELY TO GROW
With Disney-obsessed Generation Z the largest generation ever - comprising about 20 per cent of Australia’s population and almost 30 per cent of the world’s - the cult of Disney is only likely to grow into the future.
Globally, there are almost two billion Gen Zers — born after 1996
And demographers tell us they are a Disney-loving, celebrity and brand obsessed bunch, who bare their souls, selves and sense of social responsibility on social media freely.
They care passionately about social equality and the environment, and are committed to making the world a better place for future generations. If the causes they care about are championed by celebrities, so much the better.
But Gen Z is also a consumer generation, making Disney merchandise, firmly in their wheelhouses.
