Cyclist killed in accident with truck on North Rd, Brighton

A FEMALE cyclist has been killed in an accident involving a truck on one of Melbourne’s most popular cycling routes this morning.

A WOMAN cyclist was killed in an accident with a large truck in Brighton this morning on one of Melbourne’s most popular riding routes.

The woman was killed near the intersection of St Kilda St and North Rd about 10am.

The section of road is part of the Beach Road cycling route from St Kilda to Mordialloc.

The man driving the truck, who was not injured, is assisting police.
The circumstances of the crash, and the age of the cyclist, are not known.
