Would you sell with the ‘Best-looking agent’?

A real estate agent has received mixed feedback on his cheeky advertising campaign promoting himself as the “Best-looking agent” in Melbourne’s southeast.

Australian home prices expected to rise by five per cent by year’s end

A Casey real estate agent has left Melburnians divided with a cheeky advertising campaign promoting himself as the “Best-Looking Agent”.

In an audacious attempt to grab listings, P&G sales consultant Noah Rezaie has plastered his photo — complete with popped collar and pocket hanky — across the back of a Victorian bus.

“Voted #1 Best-Looking Agent in Narre Warren South*,” the ad reads.

“*Voted by my mum”.

The ad, which cuts the agent in half on the bus panelling, splashed about a week ago to tour areas in and around Frankston, Cranbourne, Dandenong and Berwick.

It was snapped and shared to Reddit on Sunday with Melburnians quick to share their mixed views of the real estate tactic.

“He looks like a cheaper version of James Franco,” one Reddit user wrote.

“Looks like the back end of a bus to me,” another said.

“If they hadn’t cropped the photo, it’d show his brown (faux) leather shoes, no socks,” another wrote.

Some thought the ad was a poor move to get sales.

“Well there you have it, I can actually think less of real estate agents,” one user wrote.

“At least he admits he needs zero skills to do his job,” another said.

But others backed the unorthodox approach to snagging business.

“This is going to be an unpopular opinion … but a real estate agent’s job is to get your house seen, talked about, and sold. You’re all talking about him … this guy knows his sh**,” one Reddit user wrote.

“Ahh he got you, hook line and sinker! Next time, Just ignore these f***wits,” another wrote.

“This dude’s funny, now I want to buy a house,” another wrote.

“Honestly this kind of advertisement would get me to see the person. Good sense of humour and doesn’t take themselves too seriously,” another wrote.

When asked if Mr Rezaie thought he really was the best looking agent, his assistant Melissa Wilson said: “I think he probably would and I think his mum would too.”

Ms Wilson said the campaign had been a “team effort” and fine by Mr Rezaie who “doesn’t take life too seriously”.

“There’s been a couple of agents that we know of in the southeast and even in the eastern suburbs that do sort of fun ads,” she said.

“Someone suggested to do it as ‘your most trusted agent’ in the area but Noah sort of said ‘no, let’s do something a bit more fun and make it the best looking’.”

Ms Wilson said the team had expected the split reactions.

“I think it’s pretty well what we expected and thankfully the comments haven’t been too harsh,” she said.
