Campbell's channel challenge

FORMER AFL star Campbell Brown plans to swim the English Channel next year.

Brown, who was sacked by the Gold Coast Suns at the end of last year after an incident with teammate Steven May, says he plans to attempt the gruelling swim next July.

“I have employed Shelley Taylor-Smith to coach me, she is one of Australia’s greatest marathon swimmers,” he revealed.

“She is coming over this week to do some stroke correction (work) with me, and to do a bay swim, I am doing three or four sessions a week of up to eight kilometres.”

In an exclusive interview with his former teammate Shane Crawford, Brown also reveals what really happened before his arrest at the Magic Millions raceday in Queensland in January and speaks out about the incident with May in Los Angeles that cost him his career.
