PEAK-HOUR commuters have endured a nightmare morning after a two truck crash on the West Gate Freeway caused major delays.
A semi-trailer truck which had jackknifed just before 7.30am and was sitting sideways across all four lanes heading towards the Monash Freeway was removed by heavy haulage about 8.40am.
All lanes have now reopened.

Earlier motorists got out of their cars and stood on the freeway as they waited for the truck to be moved.
Stuck motorist Stacey told 3AW that it was “an absolute disaster”.
“All the cars and trucks behind the truck are out of their cars just talking because there’s nowhere to go,” she said.
To make matters worse a number of cars broke down during the closure.
