THE MOTHER of Zachary Bryant, the three-month-old baby boy killed in the Bourke Street tragedy, says she has chosen love, kindness and compassion over hate and anger following his death.

Nawwar Hassan Bryant posted a video on Facebook of herself, supported by partner Matt, delivering little Zac’s eulogy.

Along with the video she posted a message in memory of her young son who “exuded” love and touched many lives.

She also thanked the Melbourne community for their “love and kindness”.

“Day 2 of being home and it isn’t getting any easier — yet,” Ms Hassan Bryant posted.

“Amidst all this sadness I feel so grateful to know there is so much love and kindness all around us.”

Zachary died at the Royal Children’s Hospital when his pram was struck by a car on January 20.

Haunting images of the pram turned over on its side after being struck sent shockwaves across Australia.

His two-year-old sister Zara was also injured but is in a stable condition in the same hospital.

Ms Hassan Bryant said she and Matt visited the Bourke St memorial and were touched to see photos of Zac and the heartfelt messages left for him.

“I can’t thank enough every single person who has reached out to me. I feel your sadness and appreciate your love. Besides Zac and all the other victims, this eulogy is also dedicated to you and anyone who has lost a child,” she said.

Choosing “love, kindness and compassion” rather than hate after the harrowing ordeal, Ms Hassan Bryant says she will wear Zachary’s birth scars as a badge of honour.

“I feel I need these to heal and not anything else,” she said.

Friends and family have rallied around the family, posting messages of love and support.

It comes as the floral tributes left in Bourke St for Zac and the other five victims are to be removed this morning.
