Visitors to the Halls Gap Zoo in western Victoria have the opportunity to hand feed two of the most adorable zoo residents.

The zoo’s two red pandas, including six year old “temperamental” Mohan, are among the dozens of animals zoo visitors can see, with others, including saltwater crocodiles, giraffes and cheetahs.

It costs $90 per person to participate in the red panda feeding.

Zookeper Haylee Burton said that “in the encounter, people are brought into the enclosure, and the pandas will eat food from their hand.”

Classic Australian burger brand Grill’d is offering cooking masterclasses to kids aged 5-10.

Grill’d chief marketing officer Ben Goss said kids get the chance to learn about nutrition and locally sourced ingredients.

“The best part is they get to eat what they make,” Mr Goss said.

“We’re hoping it lays the foundations for positive nutrition choices in their future,” he said.
