Blues president Luke Sayers pictured hitting the ski slopes in Italy

A series of happy snaps show Carlton president Luke Sayers enjoying his Italian getaway as he faces mounting pressure to return to Australia amid the lewd image probe.

The “dick pic” scandal engulfing Carlton president Luke Sayers doesn’t appear to have put a dampener on his European holiday.

The embattled Blues boss posed for happy snaps with his daughters on social media and was pictured hitting the ski slopes in Italy, despite calls for him to come home and “face the music” in the wake of the scandal.

Mr Sayers reportedly refused to answer calls from colleagues before promptly disconnecting his phone while on his overseas trip.

The league is probing the circumstances around the incident after a lewd image was publicly posted on the Carlton president’s X account last week.

The image was published alongside the name of a senior female executive at health insurer Bupa, which sponsors the club.

Mr Sayers has claimed his social media account was hacked in a bid to hold on to his job at the Blues.

“Mr Sayers did not post an image to his X account on January 8, 2025,” the Sayers Group said in a statement late last week.

Industry insiders say Mr Sayers should consider standing down to avoid dragging the club through a season of scandal.

Carlton vice president Robert Priestley, the chairman of JP Morgan in Australia, has emerged as the most likely stand-in president should Mr Sayers choose to step away while the AFL investigates.
