Bikie hunk Hasan Topal dodging police in chase across Australia and Turkey

Comanchero bikie and murder suspect Hasan Topal is being hunted down by cops in Turkey following a huge global police operation.

Who’s who in the bikie underworld?

Exiled bikie hunk and murder suspect Hasan Topal is running for cover in Turkey following a huge global police operation which led to hundreds of arrests.

The Saturday Herald Sun understands the Australian Federal Police are in talks with their Turkish counterparts to hunt the Comanchero down.

But even if police do arrest the bikie, actually getting him back to Australia to face potential charges will prove difficult as Topal has dual citizenship.

It can also be revealed Topal was in regular contact with Melbourne-based Comancheros before the worldwide Operation Ironside raids on June 7.

Fresh attention came on Topal last month in the period before the sweeping Ironside raids.

The Herald Sun revealed he was a suspect in two botched 2017 murders in which the intended targets were Mongol OMCG-linked figures.

Muhammed Yucel died in a hail of bullets as he left a mate’s Keysborough home after a night of gaming and Zabi Ezedyar was gunned down outside a Narre Warren home.

Police believe the intended targets were Farshard Rasooli and Mohammed “Afghan Ali” Keshtiar.

Homicide squad detectives would like to talk to Topal over the Yucel and Ezedyar killings.

Topal is also under scrutiny over the wounding of two members of the Bandido OMCG as they rode across the Bolte Bridge, the non-fatal shooting of former clubmate Mark Balsillie and the drive-by blasting of a Richmond auto business.

There was a period of rancour within the Comancheros in the aftermath of the wave of 2017 gun attacks for which Topal is a suspect.

Instead of being ostracised over the bungled killings, he was promoted and rapidly rose through the ranks.

Topal has stood in as state boss for Mick Murray previously.

“You can’t push someone out who’s done all that heavy lifting for you,” one source said, explaining Topal’s rapid ascension.

Some of the gang’s more long-term members were said to have been disenchanted with the direction and leadership of the OMCG.

They sided with former gang leader Amad “Jay” Malkoun, who was at the time living in Europe.

Balsillie, who had been a senior Comanchero, later defected to the Mongols.

Operation Ironside has been hailed as the police sting of the century.

A trojan horse app was developed and monitored by the FBI and AFP and tricked criminals into believing it was a secure, encrypted device.

More than 25 million messages were intercepted in real time over the past three years, culminating in Operation Ironside and the biggest police operation in Australia’s law enforcement history.
