A vote for Jodie Belyea and Labor is a vote for a local champion who will always fight for the people of Dunkley – as a member of a government that consistently delivers for Australians.
A vote for Jodie Belyea and Labor is a vote for a local champion who will always fight for the people of Dunkley – as a member of a government that consistently delivers for Australians.
Jodie’s not a career politician. She wants to be Dunkley’s voice in government because as a Frankston mum with a mortgage, she understands the cost-of-living pressures facing local families. Jodie knows what makes the community tick
Vote for Jodie to be part of a Government that has been working every day to make a difference for families by tripling bulk billing and getting wages moving again.
Delivering cheaper child care and cheaper medicines. Fighting to ensure families get a good deal at the supermarket. Opening the doors of opportunity with fee-free places at Chisholm TAFE. Delivering the Hall Road upgrade in Carrum Downs.
And from July 1, giving every taxpayer in Dunkley a tax cut.
Like all of Australia’s 13.6 million taxpayers, we’re giving you a tax cut because we support the aspirations of every Australian.
We’re helping you earn more and keep more of what you earn – and that will make a real difference in households right across Dunkley.
Peter Dutton and the Liberals have nothing positive to offer – no plans, no ideas, just negativity.
They have made it clear they’ll take away our cost of living tax cuts the first chance they get.
Elect Jodie Belyea to Parliament and she’ll make sure they don’t get that chance – because she stands for what’s best for the people of Dunkley. That is the Labor way.
It was most definitely the Peta Murphy way.
One reason I’m so grateful Jodie agreed to be the candidate is because her outstanding personal qualities were recognised by someone of outstanding personal qualities herself, the much missed Peta Murphy.
Peta was devoted to her community. As the member for Dunkley she opened the Medicare Urgent Care Clinic in Beach Street in Frankston, meaning anyone with a Medicare card can see a doctor for free and get the treatment they need.
This is already taking pressure off families and taking pressure off the emergency department in Frankston Hospital which is being upgraded.
Peta championed cheaper child care for families of Seaford, Langwarrin, Frankston and Mount Eliza.
And she was so proud to be the first woman to represent an electorate named after Louisa Dunkley – a champion for equal pay for women. It was a pride Peta backed by helping shape our reforms which have taken the gender pay gap to a record low.
Peta’s time was far too short, but she built an extraordinary legacy.
I know Jodie Belyea is the best person to build on that legacy and deliver for the people of Dunkley.

The Dunkley by-election on Saturday is an opportunity to choose a local community leader with a track record of delivering.
It’s also an opportunity to send the Prime Minister a message that he needs to do a better job in addressing the cost of living crisis.
Mr Albanese promised that you would be better off under Labor.
He said life would be “cheaper” under him. He promised that your power bills would go down by $275. He promised you “cheaper mortgages.”
He said “My word is my bond”. But are you better off now than you were when Mr Albanese was elected?
That’s the question every person in Dunkley should ask themselves ahead of voting on Saturday.
The reality is that Australians are $8,000 worse off since Mr Albanese’s election.
Your electricity bill has gone up 20 per cent. Your gas bill has gone up 27 per cent. Grocery prices are through the roof. Those with a mortgage are typically paying $24,000 more a year, and renters are paying more than ever.
You and your family are worse off under the Albanese Government.
Now Mr Albanese is introducing a new car and ute tax, which will add thousands of dollars to the cost of popular SUVs for families and utes for tradies.
Instead of addressing the cost of living crisis, the Prime Minister was obsessed with his $450m Voice referendum which divided our country.
Whilst 56 per cent of Dunkley residents voted ‘No’ to the Voice, the Labor Party’s candidate for Dunkley described the Voice referendum outcome as ‘the worst of white privilege’.
The people of Dunkley are not privileged – but you have been forgotten by a government which is not focussed on you.
The Liberal Party has a positive plan for Dunkley. Our commitment to the Frankston-Baxter Rail Extension is a game-changer. Only a few years ago, Mr Albanese called this project “transformative” yet last year he cut the project.
We’ve also committed to local community infrastructure projects, including revitalising Monterey Reserve in Frankston North; redeveloping the Bruce Park Pavilion in Frankston South; and delivering the Len Phelps Pavilion upgrade in Carrum Downs.
Our outstanding Liberal Party candidate Nathan Conroy is exactly the sort of ‘doer’ that we need in the federal parliament.
Nathan stood for Council because he wanted to change his community for the better. He is a fighter for the local area, and now he wants to take that fight to Canberra.
Whilst the Dunkley by-election won’t change the Government, the result can send a clear message to Anthony Albanese: that his cost of living crisis is hurting, and he needs to do better.
That’s why you should please vote for the Liberal Party candidate, Nathan Conroy, who will fight for Dunkley and get things done.
