Anna Green’s beautiful smile won’t ever be forgotten

Anna Green didn’t have to be decked out in glamorous ball gowns to be noticed — her natural grace and infectious optimism was enough to light a room and enrich the lives of anyone around her.

Friends, family and the community are mourning the loss of Anna Green.

Anna Green’s smile could light up a room. It could light up a whole red carpet.

But Anna didn’t have to be decked out in glamorous ball gowns and sparkling jewels on Brownlow night to be noticed.

Her spirit enriched and enhanced the lives of all those who knew her or were lucky enough to cross her path.

To know Anna, with her natural grace and infectious optimism, was to be truly awed by her.

A former air hostess, Anna had a boundless curiosity, and never lost the desire to travel the world, to explore and discover.

She thought the sea was a restorative for the soul, and she loved to dance.

And Anna’s beauty was timeless.

Melbourne fashion designers J’Aton, who designed many of the gowns she wore at football’s night of nights, even nicknamed her Audrey, after the late Hollywood actor Audrey Hepburn.

“Anna was truly immaculate, in every sense of the word, with the purest of souls — she saw the good in everyone,” designers Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino said.

“Anna was totally unaware of her allure, innate beauty and generosity. She was always thinking of others and her energy was contagious; you just felt at your absolute best when she was around, and you left feeling inspired and ready to conquer the world,” they said.

“We are all better people for knowing Anna.

“She has inspired us all, and we are changed people forever,” they said.

Anna’s love of style saw her launch her own online fashion store, Wilogreen, a combination of her son’s names, Oliver and Wilba.

When I arrived at her house for a photo shoot with the Herald Sun, I was so excited to see her I jumped out of the taxi, leaving a suitcase of my belongings in the boot of the cab.

It took over an hour before I even noticed the suitcase was missing.

Anna’s presence had that effect on you.

Nothing else in the world mattered when you were in her company; no one was more present or compassionate in conversation than Anna.

She had unwavering faith my suitcase and I would be reunited — an inconvenience that granted me two more hours with her, for which today I am grateful.

While Anna was supernaturally generous and innately kind-hearted to her friends, she saved the best for her boys.

Anna was Brad’s biggest supporter on and off the footy field.

And while the Dees weren’t often victorious, the Green family was.

Anna filled their home with an atmosphere of fun, laughter and affection. A loving wife to Brad and the most adoring mum to Oliver and Wilba, her irresistible mischievousness and love of life and adventure live on in them all.

My deepest condolences to Anna’s dear family and friends whom she loved and celebrated so much.

As heartbreakingly unfair as it is for us all to lose Anna, somehow even in her absence she has brought out the best in everyone, as they rally around her beloved family and friends. Through tears and heartache, you are remembered with laughter and gratitude for the years you filled our lives with the smile we will never forget.
