VICTORIA will have a second international airport with AirAsia to fly into Avalon Airport by the end of the year.
The Herald Sun can reveal AirAsia will have daily flights to and from Kuala Lumpur.
It is understood a new terminal will be built for the international flights and will include a customs facility.
The new deal is being signed this week with a major announcement to be made on Sunday at the airport.
The decision is a major multi-million dollar boost for Avalon Airport, Melbourne’s western suburbs and Geelong.
