UNDER-fire radio host Jon Faine has taken pre-planned leave following his distasteful interview with a disability campaigner.
The network has refused to say if it had received any complaints about a segment in which the radio host compared Carly Findlay’s chronic skin condition to a “burns victim”.
ABC’S FAINE HUMILIATES DISABILITY CRUSADER
The ABC on Sunday said: “Jon Faine is on annual leave for several weeks, booked several months ago.”
He also went on to say Findlay — who has a rare condition called ichthyosis — might scare children at Halloween.
The radio interview has caused outrage and a social media furore quickly erupted.
During the segment he also asked whether she could have sex and whether children pointed at her in the street.
Management last week apologised, saying “Jon intended no offence” but admitted a “number of his questions and comments were insensitive”.
