Delays are easing across Melbourne’s train network after a tresspaser on the tracks in the CBD disrupted peak-hour services.
Trains were not running through the City Loop but directed to Flinders St Station after the intruder was spotted shortly before 7.30am.

It meant a dozen lines which go through the loop faced delays until the mid-morning.

Major delays of up to about 20 minutes were expected to continue on the Mernda and Hurstbridge lines until about 11am.
Victoria Police said they were called to Parliament Station just after 7.20am after a man was spotted in the tunnel.
He left when police arrived and the investigation is ongoing.
