The park, near Pakenham, aims to boast the state’s best wave pool as part of the ongoing redevelopment, begun after its sale in 2016.

Gumbuya World business director Ron Weinzierl says this summer was the park’s busiest yet, and the expansion will continue over the next three years and bring more than 50 new attractions.

The expansion includes a microbrewery, onsite accommodation, new cafes, shops and a chocolate factory.
