2.9 magnitude earthquake rattles Victoria’s west near Warrnambool
Victoria’s west has been shaken by a magnitude 2.9 earthquake, the third in a string of tremors to rattle the state in just three days.

Victorians awoke to tremors on Thursday morning as an earthquake stretching 10km was recorded in the state’s northeast.
A magnitude 2.9 quake was recorded with an epicentre offshore near Warrnambool at 2.18am on Thursday with residents taking to social media to report the tremors.

The shake was the third in a string of earthquakes to rattle the state this week.
A 2.9 magnitude quake was recorded in the early hours of Wednesday at 6.02am northeast of Bendigo with an epicentre at Rushworth.
And a 2.8 magnitude quake struck just after midnight at 12.30am on Tuesday with an epicentre located near Mount Dandenong.
South Australia also felt a rattle on Tuesday just hours after Victoria.
No damages have been recorded thus far.
