Postcard-worthy views of Magnetic Island and the Coral Sea and a horizon pool built for North Queensland paradise, our long-awaited first five-star stay Ardo is about to open its doors.
The $88m luxury hotel is the latest addition to the Morris Group, which owns sister property the Ville Resort-Casino, as well as a range of boutique properties across Queensland like Orpheus Island Lodge and Mt Mulligan Lodge.
During an exclusive tour of the almost-finished complex, Ardo and The Ville CEO Michael Jones said Ardo was one of the most highly anticipated hotel openings of the year for North Queensland.
“Ardo is unlike anything Townsville has ever seen, it is a luxurious offering that will elevate how visitors can experience this beautiful tropical region,” Mr Jones said.
“It is the perfect getaway for couples, families and friends, there truly is something for everyone and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests from mid-December.”
The seven-storey hotel holds 132 rooms and suites, and guests can choose between a courtyard, marina or ocean room each offering 33sq m of space and either a private balcony or sparkly sea views.
The Ardo Suite is expected to be a favourite and boasts a circular balcony bath and daybed overlooking Magnetic Island.
All rooms and suites are finished with cork floors paired with free-form concrete ceilings and bespoke bathrooms in terrazzo, complemented by make-up mirror, dual shower heads with rainfall shower and fluffy bathrobes.
In the biggest luxury multi-restaurant launch ever seen in Townsville, guests have three signature restaurants to choose from.
At Marmor and Terasu, diners can celebrate world-class Australian meat and seafood or a lively, cool take on Japanese cuisine cooked with seasonal ingredients from around the region.
Guests will also have access to a tapas-style menu at Ardo’s rooftop bar as well as access to The Ville Resort-Casino’s restaurants and pool deck.
Ardo guests will also have access to Te Ville’s amenities like the swim-up bar, gym and casino while Ardo’s day spa is set to rival even the most luxurious experiences in Townsville.
Bookings open November 20 at 10am (AEST) with first stays available from December 11.
