What the world needs is more good 2D platformers.
There’s such a wonderful, wholesome magic to solving puzzles using gendered boxes which can reproduce asexually.
While this is the fourth game in the Boxboy/Boxgirl series, you don’t need to know any elaborate backstory: They’re boxes with legs and faces, and they have places to be.
Although it’s a 2D platforming game on the console family that you most associate with Mario, your reflexes are no good here.
Boxboy is all about making you think, and you’re rewarded for managing to complete these puzzles using as few boxes as possible.
Whether you spend five minutes or five hours on a level (you probably won’t spend five hours on a level, it’s OK), it’s all about being as efficient and clever as you can.

Just like life.
As you go on, the puzzles throw new problems and mechanics at you, but always at a pace that’s friendly to players of all abilities.

Plus, whether you want to tackle the game in single player, or enjoy a co-op campaign, there’s really something for everyone from ages 7 — 107.
Bottom line: This would be a bargain of fun at twice the price. But, if you’re unsure, there’s a free demo that will sell you on its virtues. This is the perfect game for commuting.
