DEANNE Jolly has come under fire for labelling TV favourite Shaynna Blaze “a bogan from Wantirna” who has no idea about styling.

Ms Jolly’s foul-mouthed ­tirade on The Block Glasshouse has enraged local councillor Peter Lockwood, who invited the former Collingwood ruckman’s wife to come on a “royal tour” of the Melbourne suburb to see its style and sophistication.

“Wantirna is a great place to live,” Mr Lockwood said.

“How dare anyone criticise Wantirna; all the best people live here. A lot of people would find those comments offensive.

“We have a great sense of style. There are wonderful Australian homes here with some of the best kitchens and bathrooms.”

In the episode to air on September 21, Jolly also lets fly with the c-bomb and makes veiled threats against Blaze over perceived inconsistencies in her bathroom renovation judging.

“I hate Shaynna (Blaze),” Jolly explodes. “She’s a bogan from Wantirna who’s got no f-ing idea and I will out-style you any day.

“She will want to keep away from me at the wrap party if she shows up.”

A production source confirmed Jolly was also overheard using the c-bomb, but the footage would not be broadcast. Jolly said she tried to control her potty mouth on the series but admitted she had still made the occasional slip.

“There’s no doubt that I dropped a few swear words on that show and I tried not to but it’s just the nature of it,” she said. “Sometimes it’s the only thing that makes you feel better. You’ve got to get it out.”

Blaze said she wasn’t concerned about Jolly’s remarks about her, putting it down to Jolly being a sore loser.

“It’s no surprise to hear such comments when contestants lose, but it’s interesting that they don’t have these opinions when they win,” she said. “I don’t have a problem with any of the contestants. Everything needs to be seen in perspective.”
