Filming completed for season five of Tasmanian-based series Aussie Lobster Men
The boys are back for a fifth season, with television audiences able to get another glimpse of boat skippers braving the Southern Ocean to get the best rock lobster catch.

The Aussie Lobster Men are back and ready to tackle the rough seas to find some of the tastiest produce.
The Tasmanian-based series will be returning to the Nine Network for season five.
Created by Fredbird Entertainment and Winning Post Productions, the Aussie Lobster Men follows Tasmanian fishing boat skippers traversing the Southern Ocean.
Filming for the new season recently wrapped up, and Arts Minister Madeleine Ogilvie said the completion was a testament to the show’s success.
“The Tasmanian Government has backed Aussie Lobster Men since its first series, recognising the unique blend of Tassie landscapes, seafood, talent and lifestyle the series presents,” Ms Ogilvie said.
“It will be wonderful to have skippers ‘Squizzy’, ‘Snoddy’ and Bryce back on television screens for a fifth outing, and I hear there are some exciting new additions to the series that audiences will love.
“We are proud to have invested $100,000 into this fantastic production, leveraging more than $460,000 in spending on Tasmanian goods and services.
“Screen production provides cashflow for businesses, and jobs for actors and crew while exporting Tasmania’s stories, landscapes and creativity around the world.”
Ms Ogilvie said the government had also allocated $1m to its Island Screen Incentive, which aims to attract production companies to film in Tasmania.
“Aussie Lobster Men season Five joins a host of other successful productions filmed locally in what is shaping up as a record year for Tasmanian screen production.
“These include Netflix’s The Survivors, ABC’s Bay of Fires season two, Tasmanian Aboriginal short-form series Moonbird for SBS, and SBS documentary series Hunt for the Truth: Tasmanian Tiger.”
Aussie Lobster Men is currently in post-production, and season five is due to air next year.
