The funds will help build a new student residence, Little Hall, and establish the university’s flagship Hansen Scholarship Program, which will kick off in 2020.

Twenty gifted students will be hand-picked as ‘Hansen Scholars’ and will receive free accommodation at Little Hall, support with general living expenses and career support.

Scholarship founder Jane Hansen said the program will provide unparalleled opportunities for outstanding students whose personal circumstances may otherwise deny them the chance to pursue further study.
