A private boys’ high school was sent into lockdown in Melbourne’s east this afternoon following reports an armed man had entered the grounds.
Police were called to Whitefriars College in Donvale due to a verbal dispute about 1.25pm.
The school was put into lockdown and grounds searched due to unconfirmed reports the man was armed with a weapon.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said officers were unable to locate the man, who is known to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
