Wilkins Highway closed after fatal motorbike crash near Jamestown in state’s north
A major highway has been closed as emergency services are at the scene of a fatal crash in the state’s Mid North.

A man has died after a motorcycle crash near Jamestown.
About 10.45am on Thursday emergency services were called to the Wilkins Highway, about 300m south of Jamestown-Whyte Yarcowie Road after reports a motorcycle had left the road crashed.
The rider, a 76-year-old local man, sadly died at the scene.
Wilkins Highway remains closed between Belalie East Road and Jamestown-Whyte Yarcowie Road while Major Crash Investigators attend the scene – diversions are in place.
The man’s death is the 62nd life lost on SA road’s this year.
