Two teens arrested after allegedly robbing a driver and the restaurant he was delivering for are among a series of overnight youth arrests in SA.

Two teen boys have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a delivery driver before trying to rob a restaurant with a knife over the weekend.

Police were called to Main South Rd at Morphett Vale, near Conington Crescent, around 8.10pm on Saturday, after a delivery driver was assaulted by two males armed with sticks.

The youths allegedly fled with the food the driver had been picked up for delivery.

Police say one of the youths went back to the restaurant later in the night with a knife and allegedly threatened a staff member before stealing a mobile phone and fleeing. ‘

A male staff member and the delivery driver were not seriously injured during the incidents.

Police rushed to the restaurant and found too suspects nearby along with a knife and the stolen mobile phone, according to SAPOL.

Two boys, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, both from Morphett Vale, are facing several charges over the incident including aggravated robbery.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Occupants of a southern suburbs home were woken up by a young intruders trying to rob them in the early hours of Sunday, SA Police says.

Police were called to Ralph Street, Sturt around 4.45am, after homeowners were reportedly woken up by someone entering their house and stealing their car keys.

Initially, police searched the area but they could not find the suspects, however, about an hour later the car flashed and beeped as though someone had pressed the key fob.

Patrols scanned the area again and managed to find the suspect in Darling St – a street on the other side of the block – who allegedly had the keys with him.

The suspect, a 15-year-old boy from Daw Park, was quickly arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass.

He was bailed and will appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court in December.

Police busted two teenagers as they were allegedly making their marks at Port Lincoln foreshore, just after midnight on Sunday.

Just after 1am, patrols spotted the teen boys spray painting graffiti on bollards near a hotel, along Tasman Tce, as they were keeping a guard on the foreshore area.

The suspects, aged 15 and boys, tried to run but patrols managed to find them nearby.

They were reported for mark graffiti and carry offensive weapon, since the 15-year-old was found with a knife.

Police said they will be dealt with by the Juvenile Justice System.
