Police have seized $1.5 million worth of cannabis and arrested six men after raiding a suspected bikie safe house.

State and Federal police raided the Northfield property on Wednesday, locating 320kg of dried cannabis and $50,000 in cash.

Police are alleging that the property was a safe house for the Rebels bikie gang to process cannabis ahead of sale.

Photos released by the Australian Federal Police show large bags of dried cannabis in the process of being vacuum sealed.

Six men were arrested at the property and charged with trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

Five of the men were granted police bail but a sixth man, Aaron Daniele, was refused bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Thursday.

Daniele, 32, appeared briefly before Magistrate Kym Millard where he did not apply for bail.

He was remanded in custody to appear with his other co-accused in April.

Police allege that the six men are associated with the Rebels bikie gang.

AFP Detective Superintendent Gavin Stone said the cannabis seized could have netted approximately $1.55 million in illicit profits.

“We will allege that the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang was profiting from this illicit operation and our inquiries are ongoing into the extent of the operation and network,” he said.

“Outlaw motorcycle gangs exist only to make money and they will recruit or work with people who facilitate their criminal activities, which directly impact on the Australian community.

“These arrests and seizures show that we are one step ahead and we will continue disrupting criminal ventures and put people before the courts.”

South Australian police officer in charge of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch Detective Superintendent Steve Taylor said the raid was an example of how law enforcement work together to combat organised crime.

“Our collective commitment to make South Australia safer and hold criminal groups to account is unwavering,” he said.

“There is a strong probability that you will be caught.”

The raid is the latest in a series of busts and arrests targeting the cannabis trade in South Australia.

In December, police located 7264 cannabis plants ranging from seedlings to mature plants, as well as 336kg of cannabis on drying racks at a Buckland Park property.

Eight people were arrested at the site, many of whom police allege were tending to the crop.

Less than a month later, 3186 cannabis plants were located in greenhouses in Virginia where four more people were arrested.

Only a week later police located more than $100,000 in cash, more plants and a complicated hidden door system when raiding other houses linked to the cannabis trade.
