Consulting rooms, a gym and an ambulance bay would built in Murray Bridge for a proposed new medical facility.

Paragon Medical Centre, with 11 consulting rooms and a physio room, would be built on Adelaide Rd and open from 8.30am to 6.30pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on weekends and holidays.

In a report published by Phil Weaver & Associates, “more than sufficient” carparking would be provided on-site to accommodate up to 41 clients.

“The carparking was calculated in the report on what were considered the primary car park demand generating land uses, i.e., the 11 consulting rooms and the physio room,” they said.

“There will remain five on-street carparking spaces on the northern side of Adelaide Rd directly adjacent to the subject.

“It is highly unlikely that all consulting rooms would be operating at any given time as doctors typically have exclusive access to their room and would each have varying consulting hours throughout the week.”

A floor plan of the proposed development reveals a total of 41 carparks for clients, eight parks for staff and eight parks for cyclists.

A courtyard and garden will also be built at both the southern and northern ends of the building.

Community consultation on the proposal is available until June 13.
