Port Adelaide captain Connor Rozee, 24, and his fiance Maisie Packer have announced the birth of their first child – a baby girl named Audrey.
Audrey was born at Ashford Hospital on Friday afternoon weighing 3080 grams.
“Audrey Sarah Rozee, we couldn’t love you more,” Maisie wrote on Instagram on Saturday.
Rozee was ruled out of the Power’s Thursday clash against Carlton at Adelaide Oval with an ankle injury, after missing two of the club’s previous three games with a hamstring strain.
Family and friends were quick to congratulate the couple, teammates Sam Powell-Pepper and Zak Butters among those posting on Instagram.
Audrey’s arrival caps off an incredible year for Rozee, who was named Port’s new captain and re-signed with the Power for a mammoth eight seasons earlier this year.
Maisie is one of the daughters of Seb Packer, managing director of Packers South Australia, a manufacturer of aluminium windows and doors, as well as the founder of TreeClimb. She graduated last year from the University of Adelaide with a degree in psychological science.
