Police arrest 47-year-old man over alleged domestic stabbing at Hendon, woman left in ‘critical condition’
Neighbours have expressed their shock as a woman has been left fighting for life after an alleged domestic abuse stabbing.

Concerned neighbours have paid tribute to a woman who was stabbed during an alleged domestic assault in the western suburbs.
Police and ambulance crews were called to a home on Avro Ave, Hendon just after 12.15pm on Saturday after reports a 47-year-old woman had been stabbed.
SA Police said officers arrested a 47-year-old man at the scene and charged him with attempted murder, cause serious harm and a breach of intervention order.
Shocked residents said the woman had only been in the neighbourhood for a month.
“They’ve been a really good, quite, nice people” a neighbour said.
“She seems really lovely, we’ve had no issues with them.
“Something like this is always a shock, especially when it’s on your street.”
Another neighbour said the alleged domestic violence attack had rocked the tight-knit street.
“It’s a massive shock, we’re hoping she pulls through.” he said.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
