Cars and shed destroyed in Andamooka house fire

Cars and a shed have been destroyed by in a house fire overnight in the state’s Far North.

Police are investigating a fire in the state’s Far North.

Emergency services rushed to Curila Court in Andamooka just before 11.30pm on Friday, after neighbours reported a vacant property engulfed in flames.

There were no occupants in the home but nearby residents had to be evacuated due to smoke drifting through the township.

Fire crews were able to contain the blaze but the damage to the house, shed, and vehicles located is estimated to be $50,000.

Crime Scene Investigators will attend the scene today to assist in finding the cause of the fire.
