Bag snatcher nabbed after daylight robbery in Bowden | Hampstead Gardens service station robbed

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was injured during a terrifying bag snatch at Bowden, while police are hunting armed suspects after a separate robbery hours later.

A man will face court on Monday after he was charged with aggravated robbery and assault after a bag snatch at Bowden.

Police will allege that a woman was walking on Eleventh St when a man grabbed her handbag and assaulted her just after 2pm on Sunday.

The suspect fled, followed by several witnesses, and was seen to enter a property nearby.

The woman, 30, was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police attended at the address and arrested a man, 42, without incident. The woman’s property was recovered.

The man was charged with aggravated robbery and assault and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Monday.

Service station targeted in armed robbery

The hunt is on for two armed youths who held up a Hampstead Gardens service station overnight.

The youths entered the North East Rd service station armed with a weapon and demanded cash from the console operator just before 9pm on Sunday.

The duo stole a small quantity of cash and ran from the scene. A police search of the area failed to find the suspects.

The suspects are described as teenage boys, one of caucasian appearance wearing a two-tone Nike jacket and one of Aboriginal appearance wearing a black and grey Nike hoodie.
